SEATTLE—-Emeritus Corporation , a national provider of assisted living and related dementia care services to senior citizens, announced today it has completed a transaction to purchase three communities comprised of 453 units for approximately $28.7 million, plus transaction costs.

Wife leaves husband with dementia at Hardees 
Authorities say a 61-year-old man with dementia was left by his wife at a fast-food restaurant in Cherokee County. Employees at the Hardees on Ga. 92 reported the man had been inside the restaurant for about four hours Wednesday. Cherokee County deputies say Lynn Earl Tatum apparently had been left there following an argument. He had no money or identification.
