Tax forms add two charities 
Six charities have been booted off the section of the Illinois tax return that enables taxpayers to make donations. Thirteen charities remain, including two new causes: Helping the poor pay heating and cooling bills, and helping schools and other public buildings buy heart defibrillators.

Northern Tier man missing 
Family and police are looking for an East Smithfield man recently diagnosed with Alzheimers disease who disappeared Thursday afternoon. Louis G. Kingsley, 76, is believed to have driven away from his home at about 3 p.m., possibly heading for Wendys on Elmira Street in Sayre.
