Thousands Help Fight Against Disease 
Half a million people are being asked to take part in a medical research project that could last the rest of their lives. Samples of blood and urine from people aged 40 to 69 will be examined to develop cures to a number of life-threatening and debilitating deseases.

Alzheimers cases on rise both nationally, locally 
More than five million Americans live with Alzheimers disease a 10 percent increase since 2002 the Alzheimers Association reported Tuesday.
