New Genetic Risks Found in Alzheimer’s 
Welsh scientists have discovered evidence that additional genes might be involved in the development of Alzheimer’s disease. The Cardiff University researchers tested more than 17,000 gene variants in 4,000 volunteers.

Pauline Winegardner, 84 
Pauline R. Winegardner, a 56-year resident of San Bernardino, died Feb. 28 in Redlands, from Alzheimer’s disease. She was 84. She was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Missouri and was a homemaker for 56 years.

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating an elderly man who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Jose Anglero, 86, was last seen Monday, Feb. 26 at 2:20 p.m. in the area of 88 West 167th Street. Anglero was last seen wearing a beige V-neck sweater, blue jeans and white Adidas sneakers. He is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a slim build.

Police were searching Wednesday for a missing person who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
